The schedule of an average investment banker is needless to say grueling and any free moment is often dedicated to getting some shut eye.
While studying for the Series 79 exam, many investment banking analyst have to use the limited free time they have to study instead of getting an extra hour or two of sleep.
A tired brain is also one that’s fairly resistant to retaining information. That said, there is not a large majority of sleep, deprived folks in investment banking that are failing this exam. Therefore, there must be a way to pass this exam despite the limited schedule.

What we found most effective for those of you with limited time to study is really honing in on small digestible topics at a time.
Since you only have a limited amount of time, we also suggest very big bang for your buck areas to study.

- Tender offers
These sections below are very core and cause issues for people. The better you can get it these sections, the better you were likely to do on the overall exam.
Since your time is limited, doing as little as 15 practice questions from each of these sections at a time whenever you have a moment can help you squeeze out the extra points you might need to pass this exam.
Overall, you’re very likely a competent individual that does not need a ton of help in studying. However, if you are among the investment banking class of 2025, you should know that studying on very little sleep and with very little time can be difficult.
