SIE Exam Fall 2025: Keep Going!

If you plan to take the SIE exam fall 2025 to prepare for a career in finance, then you have some work to do. Although the exam overall is not too bad and it’s meant to be an introductory exam, there are some steps you can take to make it easier on yourself. We discussed those steps in this post.

SIE Exam Fall 2025: Slow and Steady

When it comes to studying for the SIE exam, we highly recommend that you take a systematic approach.  First, decide whether you would prefer to read the textbook or go through videos. There’s usually no need to do both.

Next, go through whichever medium you chose without too much notetaking. Although this may seem counterintuitive, we find it often slows people down with not a lot of extra help. Taking practice questions as soon as you are done going through material will be much more helpful.

After all, you can know the definition of an income bond, however, you’ll also have to know how they may try to trick you about the subject.

So, When Do I Take Notes Then?

We highly recommend that you reserve, note taking exclusively for definitions, rules, and regulations, and formulas for which you’re consistently getting incorrect.

To make sure you don’t end up with a stack of notes that you’ll never want to look at because they’re so large, keep your notes, streamlined and focused only on the important stuff. The important stuff for you will be what you don’t know.

When it comes to what notes you should actually take down, we also recommend that you use the answers and explanations given to you in online practice questions. Whether you use STC, Kaplan, or pass perfect, they each have very short and sweet explanations. We recommend you use these explanations for your notes rather than go back to the textbook where the explanation for a specific definition, maybe a couple paragraphs long.

Overall, the SIE exam this fall 2025 is a doable exam. We see people pass this exam with all sorts of education levels. If you want some more tips and tricks, feel free to reach out! Good luck in the meantime!
